How is forecast accuracy measured?
We compare our AI directional predictions against actual market movements using closing prices from Yahoo Finance. A prediction is "correct" if the forecasted direction matches the actual price movement at T+1.
What does the heatmap show?
The heatmap shows accuracy broken down by the hour and day of the week the source article was published. Brighter cells indicate higher accuracy, helping you identify when news-based predictions are most reliable.
How often is this data updated?
The dashboard data is recomputed and cached hourly. New forecast evaluations run daily at 08:00 UTC.
What does "by source type" mean?
We group news sources by language (English, German, Spanish, French) and measure accuracy within each group to identify which language ecosystems produce the most predictive signals.
